Salem Communications Tampa-Sarasota radio stations will host The Battleground States Talkers Tour, sponsored in part by Reagan.com and Let Freedom Ring, on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Florida is one of six battleground states in which this event will take place including stops in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan and Colorado. This event will feature a panel discussion with special guest American Actor JON VOIGHT along with Syndicated Radio Talk Show Hosts Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, and Michael Medved. Local Salem Radio Host Bill Bunkley will serve as emcee for the event. Additionally, local activists and conservative organizations participating include With Women We Win Republican Women Federated, Republican National Hispanic Assembly, Liberty Tree Consulting and Tea Party groups like Tampa 912 Project and the Tampa Tea Party. During the town hall style forum, each panelist will speak on a variety of key issues and voice their opinions on how to influence change in the current political climate. Audience members will get an opportunity to pose their questions to the panelists.
General Manager Barb Yoder said, “This event is an opportunity for voters in the all important I-4 corridor and Tampa Bay area to hear from some of the best political thinkers about the key issues facing this election.” David Santrella, president of the radio division at Salem Communications also remarked, "We are pleased to bring these unique, FREE events that encourage informed participation in the democratic process." Each of our Salem Radio Network (SRN) hosts has been deeply engaged in this election. From sorting through the polling data to clarifying the real stakes, the brightest and the best in the news business today are on the SRN team reaching over 1,100 stations across the country.

Event Location: A La Carte Event Pavilion at 4050 Dana Shores Dr. in Tampa. (Parking is free)
Event Time: VIP Reception will be held from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. The main event starts at 7:30 p.m. (doors open 6:30 p.m. for main event)
Event Admission Details:
· VIP Reception and Priority seating: $75 per person. Reserved Seating available with VIP Reception Ticket only. This ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, beverage ticket and priority/reserved seating near front of the stage. VIP ticket holders will get an opportunity to meet the speakers before the event and get photos taken at the reception taking place from 5:30-7 p.m. The VIP Reception is sponsored by Faith & Freedom Coalition.
· FREE General Admission seating for the main event. General admission seating – free ticket registration is required (theatre-style layout) is not reserved. Attendees should come early to get seats together as a group. Doors open 6:30 PM.
